Pilot IPv6 streaming of concerts from Thessaloniki Concert Hall

Under the context of the International Musicological Conference: “Crossroads. Intercultural Greece as a pole of musical thought and creativity“, organized by the School of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki Concert Hall will host three concerts of contemporary and traditional Greek music at 8, 9 and 10 June 2011.

The concerts will be streamed over the website of the School of Music Studies of AUTh (http://www.mus.auth.gr) using IPv4, IPv4 Multicast & IPv6 and technologies and will be available through Flash, Quicktime and HTML5.

With the concert of June 8, 2011 the School of Music Studies of AUTh contributes to the support of the World IPv6 day, under the context of the Greek IPv6 Task Force.

The distribution of multimedia content will be supported by the Network Operation Center of AUTH. The broadcasting is supported by the Greek National Research and Technology Network (GRNET).
